The “Badge of Trust” by COACH ABROAD

COACH ABROAD awards a bronze, silver or gold "Badge of Trust" to trustworthy projects.

COACH ABROAD awards a bronze, silver or gold "Badge of Trust" to trustworthy projects.

Our 3-stage verification system assesses projects on transparent and reliable communication, positive volunteer experiences and sustained efforts to maintain and improve project quality.

With so many agencies and organisations to choose from, it can be difficult to find the right project for you. With the Badge of Trust, we have created a verification system to help volunteers make the right choice. This authentication process gives volunteer sports coaches the assurance that the project is credible and suitable.

We also want to motivate projects to deliver excellent services. Our aim is to provide as much transparency and insight into the projects as possible.

Please note: New projects should also be given a chance.

In particular, new projects that are beyond the reach of our COACH ABROAD team cannot be awarded a SILVER or GOLD badge immediately. We want to create a positive world of sport together and support projects to learn, build capacity and grow. If you are unsure and need advice, you can always contact us for more information.

Nicola Scholl and Ronny Fischer from COACH ABROAD talk via video call on their laptops to the mentor of a social sports project in Kenya.

Our online interview with the project coordinator provides a valuable insight into the project.

In this interview, the coordinator explains how the project came about and the impact it will have on disadvantaged communities. They can express their commitment and passion to attract potential volunteers to the project. Through transparent information sharing, adherence to legal standards and personal interaction through online interviews, we aim to create a vibrant network of enthusiastic people who contribute to the betterment of communities through their involvement in sport.
