In principle, there are no restrictions or exclusions in terms of gender, origin or religion, as long as there is a good sporting fit.
However, projects may have certain requirements that are better suited to the tasks of the volunteer service. This is especially true for the desire for female or male supervision of the children and young people. This may be due to the type of sport or the fact that, for example, female coaches may be preferred for a female sport or activity group. However, most projects do not have specific requirements in this regard.
If a project has provided information on a specific requirement, we will find out the reasons for this in the project interview and present them transparently on the relevant project page.
As far as sexual orientation is concerned, all doors are open at COACH ABROAD and no questions are asked in the online call for volunteers or in the project interviews. However, for the sake of openness and transparency, we would like to point out that in Muslim countries, for example, sexual orientation plays a certain role by law. This has nothing directly to do with the cosmopolitanism of a project or its staff. In some places it is a religious and social issue, but also a legal one. This does not mean that we advise you against projects in these countries, we simply want to make you aware of this and help you to make the right decisions to ensure that your stay is as successful as possible. It is therefore important that you do your research on the country of your choice and contact us if you have any questions.
