Zacharia is a qualified P1 teacher, holds a degree in Development Studies and has extensive experience in the field of Sport for Development and Youth Development.

He is enthusiastic and has good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili. He is highly adaptable to the wide range of situations that arise with people in different ecological environments.

He has been working with the organisation in various capacities since 2009.

  • 2009-2015: Head of Youth Education
  • 2016-2019: Programme Coordinator
  • 2020-2021: Bundesliga Youth Ambassadors (BUYA) Kenya Mentor, where he mentored 5 BUYA youth from Thika in developing their leadership skills and supported them in identifying community needs, designing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on social impact projects.
  • 2021-2023 Programme Manager
  • Since 2023: Executive Director
